Niche and category-driven content works in digital. Bravo has learned this from its network television business as well as its newest push in online video on its pets-focused vertical — “Unleashed”. Today, Bravo Digital announced its most recent series to hit “Unleashed” — a fashion-inspired original short-form series titled “Furry, Fierce, and Fabulous”. The unscripted format, produced by Canadian-based General Purpose Entertainment, follows Roberto Negrin, the Karl Lagerfeld of the doggie design world, as he styles every day dogs into some of the most prestine pooches.
All 5 episodes in the series premiered today. Check out the first episode here:
Bravo Digital launched “Unleashed” in Fall of 2016 as a lifestyle destination for photos, videos and series that showcase the fabulous life of pets across the country from celebrity pets to the luxurious abodes built for them. In the category, a lower brow channel — The Pet Collective, operated by Jukin Media — has done particularly well in capitalizing on the fanatic following around pet-related video content. Bravo has taken a page from its own playbook in tapping the consumers’ fascination with aspirational and sensational lifestyles of the rich and famous.
